The Moderator of the NSW & ACT Synod of the Uniting Church will be visiting Lismore Mission on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th January. He will be meeting with Church Council and will preach at Lismore’s 8.30 service. He will be available for conversations following this service.
Rev. Rob’s message challenges why we make resolutions at New Year. Is it helpful? Why sort of changes should we be making?
Using Matthew 7:3-5 and 7-8, Luke 13:10-17and Matthew 23, he will emphasise the need for inner reflection, the righteous anger Jesus displayed in the temple to the Pharisees and teachers and the Uniting Church’s desire to be an inclusive community welcoming diversity. What can we do in 2020 to be that inclusive church reaching out to our community>
